Malala, Michelle Bachelet, Julia Gillard. Strong, brilliant women who have fought for this education of ours. I often think to myself about who I want to be in the future, about what my opportunities would provide me with. Without the courage these women obtain, I would be diminished by my lack of opportunities. But I stand here today, with a future that has many roads, perplexed by the path that leads me blindly. It often inspires me to simply think about the roles women have in changing the world. Without the matriarchal views we pour into action, the world would work in ways I could not imagine to be true. Women bring compassion along with precision to detail, they bring compassion along with integrity. To think of it all as a fair game instead of a pointless competition is what it is to have honour. Sadly, there are still a great deal of women who are not educated. Not because they do not oblige, but perhaps because they are not provided. In rural areas, if the girls were simply taught of how much they could strive to aspire or even the basic rights obtained by womenkind, they would change their areas. Little by little. It is even the most minuscule progress that matters, even the knowledge of knowing they could find a way out, that there is a better life awaiting them could make the largest difference.
